About Me

I've been making jewellery all my life, from the first friendship bracelet that I knotted together as a kid, through necklaces made for Mothers' Day, stones woven closely with wire, earrings, beading, even the odd bag sewn together on my hand powered Singer sewing machine.

But then the day came when I looked at my day job and thought - this isn't good enough. What do I really want to do? And suddenly all the random creativity on the sidelines came together. jake and jasper was born.

See my Folksy shop for my handmade items at: www.folksy.com/shops/jakeandjasper.

10% of the profits that I make are donated to charity. My first chosen charity is Bliss, who I will be supporting until the end of 2011.

Currently my jewellery is supplied in handmade bags or with a handmade card. These are made by women living in the slums in India and the money paid for them goes directly back to support these projects allowing women to have meaningful work and send their children to school. This project is set up through Slum Aid.
